The Iseum is dedicated to the Goddesses Nabia and Ataegina, but They are not the only presence in it. As a liminal space, many guardians protect this space and contribute to it. These must be respected and recognized.
Erbina, that guards the Portals:
We respect Erbina Cantibidone, who, with Nabia, guards the limits. Silver Nymph and Maiden who appears in rivers and creeks. This Goddess is more mysterious than Nabia and Ataegina, but never less important. In this Iseum, we see her presence as a gatekeeper to the Other World, protector of limits, that allows, or forbbids, passage. We see Erbina as one of the Nymphs Daughters of Nabia, Goddess, Witch and Fae all in one body.
The Jana, that guards Destiny
The Iseum has a familiar Jana, that offers help in all acts of divination and is invoked and consulted for them. Janas are Good Folk that decide the Fate of all beings, and serve the Ladies of the Moon like us in this Iseum, being the Fae we have more conection with. Janas are Destiny incarnate, taking form of all gender and beings, existing in the context of everything that is and will be.
The Duende, that guards the Hearth
Any space has its Duende. The Duende of this Iseum not only keeps safe its physical and spiritual ernegy, but represents the space itself. It is invoked for rituals and celebrations in the home, and included in such. Duendes are Good Folk of the Hearth, famous in their service to witches, that can both play tricks and bring happiness. In this Iseum, we see Duendes as extracted of human concepts of gender and representation of the Non-Binary.
The Ancestrals, that guard Wisdom
Respect to those who came before us is part of any pagan practice. We exist in the context of what they created. We respect the ancestrals that left their artifacts that reveal the Lusitanian Gods to us, that sculpted and drew the Gods as we do today. The ancestor that fought for queer rights, that gave us freedom to be who we are openly, freedom to look at the Divine in a Queer way. The ancestors that write and created everything that inspires our practice. The ancestors we see reflected on our face, and the ancestors of our priestly linneage. All in a web of union and wisdom.
